When Your Brother Dies

When your brother dies, your childhood fades, there being one less person to remember it with, and you are left disinherited, unarmed, semi-literate, an exile. It's like losing your computer and there's no backup. Garrison Keillor.

A sibling is a living link to the safe and carefree days of childhood. When that link is severed it feels a lot like drifting in an open boat. My younger sister died in 1993 at the tender age of 27. I still think about her.
I've noticed that I miss my loved ones desperately because I am trying to bring them back here to the physical realm, where I can touch them. What I should be doing is reaching for the world of spirit where they are, waiting to lift me up. We put so many barriers between us and our higher place.
My thoughts are with you and your family. Time will not heal, but it will help.
