Memorial Weekend

We've been out of town for a couple of days with our daughter & grandson, our niece, and our daughter's best friend. A very compatible group. The grandson is so sweet! I know a gushing grandma...but he is so cute, and sweet and smart and very happy. It's wonderful to see his mom with him ~ she's great at it.

This morning started with a photo shoot at the beach. I hired a photographer to take some family photographs. It was a great experience for the family. And of course we can't wait to see the photos. I've no doubt there will be some great ones!

Then our housesitter called to let us know our shih tzu Molly was still not feeling well this morning. We had been on the phone with her last night when it started, and Molly was worse this am. So we had her taken to the vet. My husband was on the phone with the vet on & off all day. They ended up doing emergency gall bladder surgery on her. Poor baby ~ I feel so bad for her going through this alone. But she'll be in the hospital all weekend and I'll get there as soon as I can.

The rest of the day was uneventful. The sun didn't come out, so the girls and I decided to do some shopping! And then home to dinner that my husband put together.

Hopefully, tomorrow will not have so many ups and downs! It certainly will be a weekend to remember!
