I have worked in health care for more than 30 years. I've managed to not contract any contagious diseases. But I've finally succumbed to short-timers disease. I've given official notice of my retirement to my boss, the announcements have gone out, HR is processing my paperwork. My mind is thinking of all the things I can do when I'm not working. I don't want to think about my job, I just want to be done with it! It's interesting that I don't identify myself by my work. I used to when I was younger. Life is interesting. Can't wait to see the next step.
